Barrels

Vespa VSX1T barrel: 66.5 mm bore, 3 ports but only one port extends to the crankcase mouth. Intake is via the crankcase so there is no visible intake port. The exhaust stub is removable and crankcase studs are not in s "square" pattern.

Vespa VBA1T barrel: 57 mm bore, 2 ports both extending to the crankcase mouth. Intake is via the crankcase so there is no visible intake port. The exhaust stub is smooth but cast with the barrel and the crankcase studs are in a square pattern.

Vespa VS51T barrel: 57 mm bore, 2 ports in a typical Lambretta layout, a three stud inlet port on the top, a threaded exhaust stub, and a spigot which does not connect at the base. Also used on VS2, VS3, & VS4.

Lambretta Li125 Special barrel: 52 mm bore, 2 ports from the crankcase mouth. Different from the standard Li125 barrel because of larger transfer openings in the barrel. A normal Li125 barrel can be identified by a an extended fin on the exhaust port side which goes beyond the rest of the rounded fins.

Vespa GTR 125 barrel: 52.5 mm bore and 3 ports from the crankcase mouth. This is basically a smaller bore version of the 150 Sprint Veloce barrel and looks like it could be bored to 57mm to accept a Sprint piston if required. Click barrel for a larger image.

Vespa Primavera barrel 55 mm bore and 2 ports from the crankcase mouth. This is basically a larger version of the Vespa 90 barrel. The later Primavera ET3 had a similar barrel with 3 transfer ports. Click barrel for a larger image.

Vespa 50 barrel Two ports from transfers in the crankcase mouth Has a thick spigot so it can bored out or easily swapped for kits up to 115cc. Thanks to Kelvin for the pictures. Click barrel for a larger image.

Vespa T5 barrel Five ports from the only true 5 transfer standard crankcase mouth. It is Nicasil lined so it can't be rebored. The thick spigot allows kits like the Malossi 172 to take advantage of a larger bore. Thanks to Stefan Onderka for the pictures. Click barrel for a larger image..

Vespa 100 Sport very similar to the Vespa Primavera barrel but it has a third port in the barrel as well as the two casing transfers. Click for a larger image.
