Note: ACMA produced Vespas from 1951 to 1962 in Fourchambault, near Dijon, France.

The 1956-58 GL differed from earlier ACMAs:

  • The headlamp ring was different
  • The handlebar unit was the same as a Vespa GS150
  • It had a fan cover and fan like the Vespa GS150
  • X style rear rack
  • Square rear light mounted on the license plate
  • Available in grey only (gold was aftermarket).
  • The seat cover made by Brown for 1955 and Gauthier for 1954
  • The seat included a rear handle for the passenger and the springs were internal like the ACMA '55
  • The wheels were 9" and had a four bolt hub bolt pattern.
