Paint:

I had a house with some friends in college and it had a small sun room which was crappy, falling apart, but beautiful for a spray booth! I bought a airless paint sprayer which looks great in the shop, but once you hear the noise it makes you'll reconsider. Slowy but surely each piece was sanded, primed, re-sanded, and then finished with an acrylic top coat. Getting the hang of acrylics was much harder than I thought. It was pretty clear which parts needed re-spraying once I finished the first run.
